- Awareness is super important, especially if we all feel included". Ryan Lopes inspires us to how to stay more sustainable in our everyday life.  Read the interview with the artist and Content Creator here.

What is key for you to stay positive with everything that is happening in the world? That’s a very reflective question because I think in a time like today where we are extremely rooted in our climate, I don’t think we have much to do but take it day by day. Practicing patience and courtesy and nourishment. Those are always on the forefront.

Tell us shortly about how your career in fashion started? I still think it’s forming. I just love to wear things without taking it too seriously.

Tell us about your journey.  I saved this question for last to reflect a bit on these questions to answer what I think my journey is, and it is and has been a vision brought to life. From an early age I’ve wanted creative control that reflects my lifestyle and I’ve dibbled and dabbled in quite a few things. It feels refreshing to move in a way that feels substantial to life every day.

Where do you find inspiration?  It is often very much in the moment, surroundings. Though, my family inspires me whether I know it or can acknowledge it in that moment, or not. I am drawn to elements  that end up aligning with interests of a relative or close friend. Our individual character inspires me too.

How did you dress when you were younger?  Very trendy and trying. I laugh now when I look back at all the things that we’re cool, only because everyone else around me did.

What is your 10 key pieces in the wardrobe?  Good denim. White button ups. Blazer. Sneakers. Loafers. Bucket hat. Vintage prada bags. Wool trousers. Knits. Anything loose and comfortable.

What key items do you have in your all year-round wardrobe? Jeans and button ups.  Envelope1976 believe in sustainability and classic pieces.

Is there any item you think never will go out of fashion? All Enveolope’s Suit Styles. I think the brand aligns with sustainability currently where  most of the items that are made

Do you remember your first vintage buy?  I do, actually which is so funny because It was a series of floral, short-sleeve button up’s that Americans would wear on vacation. That, and a 80’s knits that we thought were so cool.

How to layers for fall?  Tanks over button ups, polos, or knits/cardigans. Trench over that. Slacks/Good Denim, Socks, Sneakers/Dress Shoes. Done.

Reuse of clothes is important to us; do you have any good advice for how to reuse clothes?  Stick to a margin of dressing, whether its styles or colors/tones. You can hold on to them for a long time, with variety of having selections to play with. The trick is to forget about it a little, then come back to it and wear it like it’s started a new life. Works every time for me.  Your style is effortless,

What do you do to have a greener lifestyle? Handwashing clothes. Cleaning my own clothing. Wash cold. Always donating. Staying away from trends.

Stronger together- what can we all do now?  Have more dialogues within the personalities of style and how they impact our world. Awareness is super important, especially if we all feel included. Fashion has always been something accessible to all, but the value of clothing is not and those who own valuable clothing can see and preserve the journey. Whereas someone who may have bought it a disposable value may not be able to apply the value of their investment because there is not much of an option to consider where that can come from.
